When an innocent family is brutally murdered on the streets of Toronto, Adine Murray is assigned to the case. After discovering that one of the victims was American, Adine is teamed with John Robbins, an agent from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Together they race to find this unhinged spree killer as he embarks on a 24 hour-long homicidal rampage.  Meanwhile, Jim Thompson, an over sized simpleton, is kidnapped and locked in a cell. Caged like an animal, Jim finds himself being subjected to a series of meticulously planned tortures and operations. He is forced to start the excruciating journey of trying to remain sane and stay alive as he is thrust through the worst of transformations.
